TEDx Oxford was incredibly basic. All of the talks were being filmed for YouTube, and so the focus had to be simple, consistent lighting, which made the speaker easily visible. A profile spot at about 75%, one at 45%, two providing backlight and a boom either side with a Source Four mounted as a mid were used to create an even coverage. There were then simply two profiles used to illuminate the TEDx sign. Were I to design this again, I'd scrap the profile at 75% - it caused some really unfortunate shadows around eye sockets - and make everything a lot dimmer to reduce some of the glare.
